Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of immediate socket preservation after minimally invasive tooth extraction on soft and hard tissue aesthetic effect in delayed implant restoration. Methods A total of 80 patients with dentition defect requiring implant restoration after tooth extraction treated in the Department of Stomatology, Beijing Changping Hospital from January 2022 to December 2024 were selected, and they were divided into the control group and the study group by the random number table method, with 40 patients in each group. The control group received simple minimally invasive tooth extraction, and the study group received immediate socket preservation after minimally invasive tooth extraction. All patients completed second-stage implant restoration at 6 months after operation, and the follow-up lasted for 12 months. The soft and hard tissue aesthetic effect, alveolar bone resorption, gingival morphology stability and implant restoration effect were compared between the two groups. Results The pink esthetic score and white esthetic score of the study group were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). The values of vertical and horizontal alveolar bone resorption in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The excellent and good rate of gingival morphology in the study group (97.50%) was higher than that in the control group (82.50%) (P<0.05). The total effective rate of implant restoration in the study group (97.50%) was higher than that in the control group (82.50%) (P<0.05). Conclusion Immediate socket preservation after minimally invasive tooth extraction can reduce horizontal and vertical alveolar bone resorption after tooth extraction, better maintain gingival morphology in the implant area, help to improve soft and hard tissue aesthetic effect in delayed implant restoration, and achieve better implant effect, which has high clinical application value.
