Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of digital bracketless invisible appliance in adolescent orthodontic treatment. Methods A total of 82 adolescent patients with Angle Class Ⅱ malocclusion treated in the First People's Hospital of Xining from May 2022 to January 2026 were selected, and they were divided into group A and group B by the random number table method, with 41 patients in each group. Group A was treated with Twin-Block appliance, and group B was treated with digital bracketless invisible appliance. The cephalometric parameters, periodontal health and complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results After 3 months of treatment, the Go-Go distance, Go-Gn distance and SNB angle in group B were higher than those in group A, whereas the U1-NA distance, U1-NA angle and U1-SN angle were lower than those in group A (P <0.05). After 3 months of treatment, the GI and PLI scores of group B were lower than those of group A (P <0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups (P >0.05). Conclusion For adolescents with Angle Class Ⅱ malocclusion, digital bracketless invisible appliance achieves favorable therapeutic effects, which can improve cephalometric parameters and periodontal health, with good safety.
