Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of silver sodium zirconium phosphate alginate dressing combined with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) on scar status in patients with deep second-degree burns. Methods A total of 94 patients with deep second-degree burns admitted to Suining Central Hospital from February 2024 to January 2026 were selected, and they were divided into the control group and the observation group by the random number table method, with 47 patients in each group. The control group was treated with silver sodium zirconium phosphate alginate dressing alone, and the observation group was treated with silver sodium zirconium phosphate alginate dressing combined with PRP. The clinical efficacy, scar status, satisfaction with aesthetic effect and complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group (95.74%) was higher than that of the control group (82.98%) (P <0.05). At 1 month after treatment, the scores of scar color, pliability, vascularity and thickness in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). The satisfaction with aesthetic effect of the observation group (95.74%) was higher than that of the control group (80.85%) (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group (4.26%) was lower than that in the control group (12.77%), but the difference was not statistically significant (P >0.05). Conclusion Silver sodium zirconium phosphate alginate dressing combined with PRP can effectively improve the clinical efficacy of deep second-degree burns, reduce scar formation, and achieve high patient satisfaction with aesthetic effect and good acceptance, while also demonstrating reliable safety.
