Objective To analyze the effect of collaborative aesthetic nursing intervention on aesthetic satisfaction in patients with extremity burns and scalds during wound repair period. Methods A total of 80 patients with extremity burns and scalds during wound repair period treated in Zigong Fourth People’s Hospital from January 2024 to June 2025 were selected, and they were divided into the control group and the observation group by the random number table method, with 40 patients in each group. The control group received conventional nursing guidance for functional rehabilitation, and the observation group received collaborative aesthetic nursing intervention. The prognosis recovery time, body image disturbance and aesthetic satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The recovery time of prognosis in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group (P <0.05). After 2 and 4 weeks of intervention, the scores of body image disturbance in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). The aesthetic effect satisfaction score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion For patients with extremity burns and scalds during wound repair period, collaborative aesthetic nursing intervention can improve patients’ mental state, accelerate wound healing, and improve aesthetic satisfaction, which possesses definite intervention efficacy.
