Objective To investigate the effect of autologous concentrated growth factor (CGF) combined with minoxidil tincture on clinical symptoms in female patients with androgenetic alopecia (AGA). Methods A total of 60 female patients with AGA admitted to Meitan County Hospital of Combination of Chinese and Western Medicine from August 2023 to January 2025 were selected, and they were divided into the control group and the treatment group by the random number table method, with 30 patients in each group. The control group received basic topical treatment with minoxidil tincture, and the treatment group received intradermal scalp injection of autologous CGF on the basis of the control group. The clinical symptoms, trichoscopy-related indicators and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results At 4 months after treatment, the scores of folliculitis, sebum secretion, dandruff, pruritus and total score in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). At 4 months after treatment, the hair density, mean hair diameter and terminal-to-vellus hair ratio in the treatment group were better than those in the control group (P <0.05). The satisfaction rate of the treatment group (100.00%) was higher than that of the control group (80.00%) (P <0.05). Conclusion CGF combined with minoxidil tincture can effectively improve scalp inflammation, sebum secretion and pruritus in female AGA patients, reverse follicular miniaturization, and enhance hair quality and patient satisfaction, which is worthy of clinical application.
