Abstract:Objective To investigate the improvement effect and aesthetic effect of invisible orthodontic technique for mild to moderate dental spacing. Methods A total of 92 patients with mild to moderate dental spacing admitted to Qiaoxi District Stomatological Hospital from January 2023 to February 2024 were selected, and they were divided into the control group and the observation group by the random number table method, with 46 patients in each group. The control group was treated with ffxed metal appliances, and the observation group was treated with invisible orthodontic appliances. The improvement of dental spacing, aesthetic effect [Pink and White Esthetic Score (PES-WES)] and treatment satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the total space amount (TS1) of the observation group was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05), and the space closure rate (SCR) was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of PES and WES and total PES-WES score of the observation group were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). The treatment satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Invisible orthodontic technique can effectively close dental spaces, improve patients’ aesthetic appearance, and achieve higher treatment satisfaction.
