Abstract:Sj?gren’s syndrome (SS) is an autoimmune disease characterized by exocrine gland dysfunction, which typically causes dry mouth and dry eyes. Most patients are prone to intractable and progressive systemic xerosis. The pathological mechanisms of SS-related xerosis include sweat gland and sebaceous gland dysfunction as well as impaired skin barrier function, which seriously affect patients’ health status. In clinical practice, a combined medical aesthetic regimen of compound acid/glycolic acid peeling combined with hydrolifting injection has been applied for the treatment of SS-related xerosis. This combined therapy has shown great application potential in relieving xerosis and is expected to become an efffcient and safe therapeutic strategy. By reviewing relevant domestic and foreign literature, this paper analyzes the independent and synergistic mechanisms of different therapies, so as to provide scientiffc theoretical basis for the clinical promotion and application of this treatment strategy. Meanwhile, this paper analyzes the adverse reactions of the combined treatment, aiming to provide an efffcient and safe adjuvant therapeutic strategy for clinical practice and improve the quality of life of patients with SS-related xerosis.
