Abstract:The repair of complex extremity wounds and scars is an important research direction in the ffelds of plastic surgery and microsurgery, which aims to achieve wound coverage, as well as limb function recovery and appearance reconstruction. Although conventional skin grafting and musculocutaneous flap repair have certain curative effects, they are associated with obvious deffciencies including severe donor site injury, bulky tissue appearance, limited functional recovery and scar contracture. With the development of microsurgical techniques and vascular anatomy, perforator ffap technique has become a crucial method for the repair of complex extremity wounds and scars due to its superiorities of preserving main blood vessels, minimizing donor site damage, ffexible ffap design and high tissue matching degree. In recent years, various perforator ffap techniques, such as anterolateral thigh perforator ffap, posterior tibial artery perforator ffap and propeller perforator ffap, have been widely applied, achieving favorable effects in wound healing, limb functional recovery and aesthetic improvement. This paper reviews the application status of perforator ffap technique in the repair of complex extremity wounds and scars, focusing on its clinical application characteristics, technical advantages and future research progress, so as to provide references for relevant clinical treatment and related research.
