Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of cantilevered polyether ether ketone (PEEK) bonded bridge on the repair success rate and aesthetic effect in patients with individual anterior tooth loss. Methods A total of 60 patients with individual anterior tooth loss treated in the Prosthodontics Department of Urumqi Stomatological Hospital from June 2024 to September 2025 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into group A and group B by the random number table method, with 30 patients in each group. Group A was restored with double-retainer PEEK bonded bridge, and group B was restored with cantilevered PEEK bonded bridge. The repair success rate, clinical objective indicators, aesthetic effect, satisfaction and complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results The repair success rate of group B (96.67%) was higher than that of group A (83.33%) (P<0.05). At 3 months after repair, the marginal gap, abutment tooth mobility, sulcus bleeding index and periodontal probing depth of group B were lower than those of group A (P<0.05). At 3 months after repair, the VAS aesthetic score of group B was higher than that of group A (P<0.05). The satisfaction rate of group B (93.33%) was higher than that of group A (80.00%) (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in group B (13.33%) was lower than that of group A (40.00%) (P<0.05). Conclusion For patients with individual anterior tooth loss, cantilevered PEEK bonded bridge can improve the repair success rate, optimize clinical objective indicators and aesthetic effect, increase patient satisfaction, and reduce the incidence of complications.
