Objective To compare the aesthetic effects of minimally invasive ultra-thin veneers and CAD/CAM all-ceramic veneers in the restoration of anterior diastema. Methods A total of 72 patients who underwent anterior diastema restoration at Xiaoshan Boxue Road Dental Clinic from January 2024 to August 2025 were selected, and they were divided into the control group and the study group by the random number table method, with 36 patients in each group. The control group received minimally invasive ultra-thin veneers, and the study group received CAD/CAM all-ceramic veneer restoration. The restoration effect, aesthetic effect, complication rate and treatment satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The USPHS score of the two groups after treatment was higher than that before treatment, and that of the study group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). The PES score of the two groups after treatment was higher than that before treatment, and that of the study group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the study group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The satisfaction of the study group (94.44%) was higher than that of the control group (88.89%) (P<0.05). Conclusion Compared with minimally invasive ultra-thin veneers, CAD/CAM all-ceramic veneers present superior efffcacy in the restoration of anterior diastema, which can improve aesthetic effect and treatment satisfaction, and reduce the risk of complications. It is worthy of clinical application.
