Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of bracketless invisible orthodontics on cephalometric indicators and orthodontic effect in patients with anterior deep overjet. Methods A total of 80 patients with anterior deep overjet admitted to Qiaoxi District Stomatological Hospital of Shijiazhuang from January 2021 to March 2023 were selected, and they were divided into the control group and the observation group by the random number table method, with 40 patients in each group. The control group received conventional ffxed orthodontics with metal brackets, and the observation group received bracketless invisible orthodontics. The cephalometric indicators, orthodontic effect and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the U1-NA distance, U1-SN angle and ANB angle of the observation group were better than those of the control group (P<0.05). The total effective rate of orthodontics in the observation group (95.00%) was higher than that in the control group (75.00%) (P<0.05). The satisfaction rate of the observation group (97.50%) was higher than that of the control group (80.00%) (P<0.05). Conclusion Bracketless invisible orthodontics achieves favorable effects in patients with anterior deep overjet. It can optimize cephalometric indicators, effectively retract maxillary anterior teeth, correct deep overjet and sagittal disharmony, and improve patient satisfaction.
