Objective To explore the impact of goal-oriented nursing intervention on postoperative pain and aesthetic effect in patients with ptosis. Methods This study included 102 patients with ptosis of the upper eyelid (treated from March 2023 to February 2026) as the research subjects. All patients underwent surgical treatment. Using the random number table method, the patients were divided into the conventional group (51 cases, receiving postoperative routine nursing intervention) and the goal-oriented group (51 cases, receiving postoperative routine nursing intervention + goal-oriented nursing intervention). The postoperative aesthetic effect scores, complications, VAS scores at 1 day, 3 days, and 5 days after surgery, and the satisfaction rate of the intervention were compared between the two groups.Results The postoperative aesthetic effect scores of the patients in the goal-oriented group were higher than those in the conventional group, with P < 0.05; the postoperative complications of the patients in the goal-oriented group were lower than those in the conventional group, but P > 0.05; the VAS scores of the patients in the goal-oriented group at 1 day, 3 days, and 5 days after surgery were lower than those in the conventional group, with P < 0.05; the intervention satisfaction rate of the patients in the goal-oriented group was higher than that in the conventional group, with P < 0.05.Conclusion For patients with ptosis of the upper eyelid, implementing goal-oriented nursing intervention after surgery has achieved good intervention effects. It can alleviate the postoperative pain of the patients, and the aesthetic effect is excellent. The patients are satisfied and approve of the intervention.
