Abstract:Objective: To explore the clinical value of minimally invasive post extraction site preservation surgery in implant restoration of patients with dental defects. Method: 80 patients with dental defects requiring tooth extraction and implant restoration admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to December 2025 were randomly divided into a control group and a study group, with 40 patients in each group, using a random number table method. The control group received a conventional minimally invasive natural healing plan for tooth extraction, while the study group underwent site preservation surgery immediately after minimally invasive tooth extraction. All patients completed the second stage implant repair 6 months after surgery and were followed up for 12 months. Compare the aesthetic scores of soft and hard tissues, alveolar bone resorption, gingival morphology stability, and overall effectiveness of implant repair between two groups of patients. After a 12-month follow-up, the study group had higher red and white aesthetic scores compared to the control group, lower vertical and horizontal absorption of alveolar bone, higher stability of gingival margin height, excellent rate of gingival papilla filling, and overall effective rate of implant repair (P<0.05). Conclusion: Immediate site preservation after minimally invasive tooth extraction can effectively reduce the atrophy and absorption of alveolar bone soft and hard tissues after tooth extraction, maintain the gingival morphology and alveolar ridge integrity in the implant area, significantly improve the aesthetic effect of soft and hard tissues in later implant repair, ensure long-term stability of implant repair, and have high clinical application value.
