Abstract:Objective: To explore the therapeutic effect of Yiqi Qianzheng Decoction in treating ptosis caused by myasthenia gravis. Methods:The random number table method was used to divide 80 patients with upper eyelid ptosis due to ocular myasthenia gravis admitted to our hospital (from January 2024 to January 2025) into 2 groups: the control group (40 cases, treated with conventional Western medicine) and the study group (40 cases, treated with the Yiqi Qianzheng Decoction in addition to the control group). The intervention effect was statistically analyzed. Results:The study group showed higher palpebral fissure height and lower ptosis score compared to the control group after 12 weeks of treatment and during the 12-month follow-up (P < 0.05); the incidence of adverse reactions: 7.50% in the control group and 12.50% in the study group, with no significant difference (P > 0.05); compared with the control group, the long-term treatment total effective rate, quality of life score, and recurrence rate of the study group were higher (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Yiqi Qianzheng Decoction for treating ptosis caused by myasthenia gravis can effectively improve the elevation function of the eyelid, has stable long-term therapeutic effect, lower recurrence rate, and good safety, and can improve the quality of life of patients.
