Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of different implant restoration protocols on masticatory comfort and aesthetic satisfaction in patients with posterior tooth loss. Methods A total of 120 patients with posterior tooth loss undergoing implant restoration treated in the Department of Stomatology, the Fourth Hospital of Changsha from January 2023 to January 2025 were selected as the research subjects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 60 patients in each group. The control group received conventional implant restoration, and the observation group received digital implant restoration. The occlusal contact distribution, masticatory comfort, aesthetic satisfaction and complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results After restoration, the occlusal contact distribution score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The masticatory comfort score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The scores of crown morphology, color matching, marginal coordination, overall aesthetics and total score in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group (10.00%) was lower than that in the control group (16.67%), but the difference was not statistically signiffcant (P>0.05). Conclusion Digital implant restoration can improve the occlusal contact distribution of patients with posterior tooth loss, and improve masticatory comfort and aesthetic satisfaction, with good overall safety.
