Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of auricular point pressing+facial acupoint massage nursing on skin lesion improvement and recurrence rate in patients with acne. Methods A total of 60 patients with acne treated in the Department of Dermatology, Ningxia Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from October 2024 to February 2025 were selected. According to the random number table method, they were divided into the control group and the study group, with 30 patients in each group. The control group received conventional nursing intervention, and the study group received auricular point pressing combined with facial acupoint massage nursing. The time of incrustation and skin lesion regression, nursing effect, dermoscopic ffndings, acne grade, quality of life, recurrence rate and adverse reaction rate were compared between the two groups. Results The time of incrustation and skin lesion regression in the study group was shorter than that in the control group (P<0.05). The total effective rate of nursing in the study group (96.67%) was higher than that in the control group (73.33%) (P<0.05). After intervention, the follicular plug density, average diameter of follicular oriffce, and DSI score in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). At 3 and 6 months after intervention, The scores of GAGS and DLQI in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The recurrence rate in the study group at 3 months after nursing was 3.33%, which was lower than 20.00% in the control group (P<0.05). There was no statistically signiffcant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion The combined application of auricular point pressing and facial acupoint massage nursing can accelerate the regression of skin lesions in patients with acne, reduce acne severity, synergistically improve the overall nursing effect, and lower the recurrence rate of acne, without increasing the incidence of adverse reactions, which is worthy of clinical application.
