Abstract:Objective: To analyze the application effect of orthodontic treatment combined with implant restoration for patients with dentition defect and occlusal deformity. Methods: From January 2024 to January 2026, 100 patients with dentition defect and occlusal deformity who were admitted to the Department of Dentistry of our hospital were selected. According to the treatment plan, the patients were divided into the control group (50 cases, only undergoing implant restoration treatment) and the study group (50 cases, undergoing orthodontic treatment combined with implant restoration). The total treatment effectiveness rate, dental function indicators, periodontal health indicators, and aesthetic effect scores of the two groups were compared. Results: The total treatment effectiveness rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05); after treatment, the chewing efficiency, maximum bite force, and occlusal contact area of the study group were higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05); after treatment, the plaque index, gingival index, and probing depth of the study group were lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05); the PES score and WES score of the study group were higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Using orthodontic treatment combined with implant restoration for patients with dentition defect and occlusal deformity can improve the clinical treatment effect of patients, improve their dental chewing function and periodontal health, and optimize the oral aesthetic effect.
