Abstract:Objective: To explore the value of early invisible orthodontic treatment in the aesthetic development of facial bones and oral function of children with malocclusion. Methods: 84 children with malocclusion were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 42 cases in each group. The control group received traditional metal bracket fixed orthodontic treatment, while the observation group received the invisible orthodontic treatment of the Era Angel Kid children's version. Both groups were treated for 24 months, and the facial bone indicators, oral function scores, and satisfaction levels before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results: After treatment, the SNA angle and UL-E line distance of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the SNB angle was greater than that of the control group (all P < 0.05). The scores of each dimension of oral function in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05). The total satisfaction rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Early invisible orthodontic treatment can effectively coordinate the development of facial bones and the reconstruction of oral function, improve the facial aesthetics and oral health status of children, reduce the risk and probability of later orthodontic extraction, and increase the treatment satisfaction.
