Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of orthodontic ffxed traction of root fragments on dental aesthetics in patients with subgingival crown fracture of anterior teeth. Methods A total of 76 patients with subgingival crown fracture of anterior teeth admitted to Suining Central Hospital from January 2024 to October 2025 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into group A and group B by the random number table method, with 38 patients in each group. Group A received porcelain crown restoration, and group B received orthodontic ffxed traction of root fragments on the basis of group A. The excellent and good rate of treatment, dental aesthetics, satisfaction and complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results The excellent and good rate in group B (94.74%) was higher than that in group A (76.32%) (P<0.05). The scores of WES and PES in group B after treatment were higher than those in group A (P<0.05). The satisfaction rate in group B (92.11%) was higher than that in group A (71.05%) (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in group B (2.63%) was lower than that in group A (21.05%) (P<0.05). Conclusion Orthodontic fixed traction of root fragments can effectively improve dental aesthetics of patients with subgingival crown fracture of anterior teeth, increase the excellent and good treatment rate, reduce complications and enhance patient satisfaction.
