Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of platelet-rich ffbrin (PRF)+coronally advanced ffap (CAF) surgery on periodontal clinical indicators in patients with gingival recession (GR). Methods A total of 98 GR patients admitted to the Department of Periodontology, Wuxi Stomatological Hospital from January 2022 to October 2024 were selected, and they were divided into group A and group B by the random number table method, with 49 patients in each group. Group A was treated with CAF, and group B was treated with PRF+CAF. The periodontal clinical indicators, root coverage rate, tooth sensitivity, aesthetic index and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results At 6 months after treatment, the gingival recession depth (GRD) and periodontal pocket depth (PD) in group B were smaller than those in group A, and the width of keratinized gingiva (WKG) was larger than that in group A (P<0.05). The root coverage rate of group B (97.96%) was higher than that of group A (83.67%) (P<0.05). At 6 months after treatment, the tooth sensitivity score of group B was lower than that of group A, and the pink esthetic score (PES) was higher than that of group A (P<0.05). The satisfaction rate of group B (97.96%) was higher than that of group A (81.63%) (P<0.05). Conclusion PRF+CAF has a definite effect in the treatment of GR, which can effectively improve patients' periodontal clinical indicators, increase root coverage rate, reduce tooth sensitivity, and help to improve aesthetic index and patient satisfaction, which is worthy of clinical application.
