Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of solution-focused model nursing and OREM support-education on psychological status and compliance behavior in patients with acne treated by glycolic acid peeling. Methods A total of 102 patients with acne who received glycolic acid peeling at Nanjing BenQ Hospital from May 2024 to May 2025 were selected, and they were divided into the reference group and the experimental group by the random number table method, with 51 patients in each group. The reference group received solution-focused model nursing and conventional support education, and the experimental group received solution-focused model nursing combined with OREM support-education. The psychological status, acne improvement, quality of life, compliance behavior and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of SAS, SDS, GAGS and DLQI in the experimental group after nursing were lower than those in the reference group (P<0.05). The total compliance rate in the experimental group after nursing was 94.12%, which was higher than 78.43% in the reference group (P<0.05). The satisfaction rate in the experimental group after nursing was 90.20%, which was higher than 74.51% in the reference group (P<0.05). Conclusion Solution-focused model nursing and OREM support-education can effectively improve the psychological status of patients with acne treated by glycolic acid peeling, reduce acne severity, improve quality of life, and enhance patient compliance and nursing satisfaction, which is worthy of clinical application.
