Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of recombinant human epidermal growth factor (rhEGF) gel combined with CO2fractional laser on quality of life in patients with facial depressed acne scar. Methods A total of 79 patients with facial depressed acne scar who were treated in the Department of Dermatology of Gaomi People 's Hospital from September 2024 to April 2025 were selected as the research subjects. According to different treatment methods, they were divided into the single group (n=39) and the rhEGF group (n=40). The single group received CO2 fractional laser treatment, and the rhEGF group received rhEGF gel combined with CO2 fractional laser treatment. The acne scar severity, quality of life, clinical efffcacy and adverse reaction rate were compared between the two groups. Results The ECCA score in the rhEGF group at 3 months after treatment was lower than that in the single group (P<0.05). The DLQI score in the rhEGF group at 3 months after treatment was lower than that in the single group (P<0.05). The total effective rate of the rhEGF group (77.50%) was higher than that of the single group (56.41%) (P<0.05). There was no signiffcant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion rhEGF gel combined with CO2 fractional laser can effectively repair facial depressed acne scar, improve the severity of acne scars and quality of life of patients, without increasing the risk of adverse reactions.
