Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of different oral restoration methods on aesthetic effect and restoration satisfaction in patients with anterior tooth defects. Methods A total of 86 patients with anterior tooth defect admitted to the Stomatology Center of Women and Children's Medical Center Afffliated to Guangzhou Medical University from October 2022 to October 2024 were selected, and they were divided into the control group and the observation group by the random number table method, with 43 patients in each group. The control group received all-ceramic crown restoration, and the observation group received ceramic veneer restoration. The aesthetic effect, restoration satisfaction and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of color matching, morphological coordination, marginal adaptation, overall aesthetic effect and total score in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The restoration satisfaction rate of the observation group (95.35%) was higher than that of the control group (79.07%) (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group (4.65%) was lower than that in the control group (9.30%), but the difference was not statistically signiffcant (P>0.05). Conclusion Compared with all-ceramic crown restoration, ceramic veneer restoration can achieve better aesthetic effect and higher restoration satisfaction in patients with anterior tooth defect, without increasing the incidence of complications, which is worthy of clinical application.
