Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of porcelain veneer restoration on aesthetic effect and dental health indicators in patients undergoing oral aesthetic restoration. Methods A total of 78 patients undergoing oral aesthetic restoration at the Stomatology Center of Suining Central Hospital from January 2024 to June 2025 were selected, and they were divided into the control group (n=39) and the observation group (n=39) by the random number table method. The control group was treated with all-ceramic crown restoration, and the observation group was treated with porcelain veneer restoration. The excellent and good rate of treatment, aesthetic effect, periodontal health indicators, adverse reaction rate and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The excellent and good rate of treatment in the observation group (97.44%) was higher than that in the control group (76.92%) (P<0.05). At 6 months after treatment, the scores of PES and WES in the two groups were higher than those before treatment, and those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). At 6 months after treatment, the periodontal health indicators in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group (2.56%) was lower than that in the control group (20.51%) (P<0.05). The patient satisfaction in the observation group (94.87%) was higher than that in the control group (74.36%) (P<0.05). Conclusion The application effect of porcelain veneer restoration in oral aesthetic restoration is ideal, which can improve periodontal indicators, reduce adverse reactions and enhance patient satisfaction and aesthetics. It is worthy of clinical application.
