Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of nursing intervention based on the transtheoretical model of behavior change on wound healing in burn patients. Methods A total of 60 burn patients admitted to our hospital from January 2024 to August 2025 were selected, and they were divided into the control group and the observation group according to different nursing methods, with 30 patients in each group. The control group received conventional nursing intervention, and the observation group received nursing intervention based on the transtheoretical model of behavior change. The wound healing, pain intensity, wound improvement effect and coping style scores were compared between the two groups. Results The wound healing time of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group, and the wound healing rate was higher (P<0.05). The NRS score of the observation group after intervention was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). After intervention, the scores of VSS and SCAR in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After intervention, the score of positive coping in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, while the scores of negative and avoidance coping were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of nursing intervention based on the transtheoretical model of behavior change in burn patients can accelerate wound healing, reduce wound pain, effectively improve wound repair effect, help patients establish positive coping styles, and promote their good recovery.
