Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of micro-screw implant anchorage on root resorption in patients with orthodontics. Methods A total of 62 patients with orthodontics admitted to Rugao Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2019 to December 2023 were selected, and they were divided into the control group and the observation group by the random number table method, with 31 patients in each group. The control group was given extraoral arch strong anchorage in orthodontics, and the observation group was given micro-screw implant anchorage in orthodontics. The root resorption, masticatory function, dental aesthetics and complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the root volume of the upper and lower jaws in the two groups was lower than that before treatment (P<0.05), but there was no statistically signiffcant difference between the two groups after treatment (P>0.05). After treatment, the masticatory efffciency, occlusal force and dental aesthetics score of the two groups were higher than those before treatment, and those of the observation group were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of micro-screw implant anchorage in patients with orthodontics has a good effect and has little effect on root resorption. It can improve patients' masticatory function, help to enhance dental aesthetics, and reduce the incidence of complications.
