Abstract:Objective: To analyze the therapeutic effect of orthodontic treatment combined with porcelain bridge fixed restoration for adult dental malocclusion, and to investigate the influence of this measure on patients" chewing function, aesthetic appearance, and treatment satisfaction. Methods: From March 2023 to March 2025, 60 adult patients with dental malocclusion admitted to the oral department of our hospital were selected. Using the random number table method, the patients were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received only porcelain bridge fixed restoration treatment, while the observation group received combined orthodontic treatment based on the control group. The total clinical effective rate, chewing function score, aesthetic appearance score, patient satisfaction, and complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results: The total treatment effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). After intervention, the chewing function score and aesthetic appearance score of the observation group were higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05). The treatment satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05); the complication rate of the observation group was lower than that of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Using orthodontic treatment combined with porcelain bridge fixed restoration for adult patients with dental malocclusion can improve clinical efficacy, improve patients" chewing function and dental aesthetics, and increase their treatment satisfaction, prevent complications, and have high treatment safety.
