Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of facial acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine facial mask on TCM syndrome scores in patients with moderate acne vulgaris of damp-heat accumulation syndrome. Methods A total of 82 patients with moderate acne vulgaris of damp-heat accumulation syndrome admitted to Liyang Hospital of Chinese Medicine from April 2024 to July 2025 were selected as the research subjects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 41 patients in each group. The control group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine facial mask, and the observation group was treated with facial acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine facial mask. The clinical efffcacy, TCM syndrome scores and complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group (97.56%) was higher than that in the control group (80.49%), and the difference was statistically signiffcant (P<0.05). After treatment, the TCM syndrome scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically signiffcant (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically signiffcant (P<0.05). Conclusion Facial acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine facial mask has a deffnite clinical effect in the treatment of moderate acne vulgaris of damp-heat accumulation syndrome. It can effectively improve TCM syndrome scores, with high safety. It is worthy of clinical application.
