Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of micro-implant anchorage treatment on occlusal relationship in patients with Angle Class Ⅱ maxillary protrusion. Methods A total of 86 patients with Angle Class Ⅱ maxillary protrusion admitted to Yancheng Chenxiao Dental Clinic Co., Ltd. Chenxiao Dental Clinic from June 2023 to January 2025 were selected as the research subjects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 43 patients in each group. The control group was treated with extraoral arch anchorage, and the observation group was treated with micro-implant anchorage. The hard tissue indexes, facial soft tissue indexes and occlusal relationship were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the U1-SN, U1-NA and displacement of the maxillary ffrst molar in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the nasolabial angle in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, while the upper lip protrusion, lower lip protrusion and facial convexity were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the overjet and overbite in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Micro-implant anchorage treatment for patients with Angle Class Ⅱ maxillary protrusion can effectively improve the morphology of dentomaxillary hard tissue, optimize the proffle of facial soft tissue, and enhance the occlusal functional relationship.
