Abstract:Objective To compare the clinical and aesthetic effects of everStick resin laminate veneer and partial porcelain laminate veneer in repairing small anterior tooth defects. Methods A total of 71 patients with small anterior tooth defects who were admitted to Jing'an Dental Clinic in Shanghai from October 2022 to September 2024 were selected as the study subjects. They were divided into the experimental group (36 cases) and the control group (35 cases) using a table of random numbers. The control group underwent repair with partial porcelain laminate veneer while the experimental group underwent repair with everStick resin laminate veneer. The immediate repair effect, effect after repair, white aesthetic effect and satisfaction were compared between the groups. Results No statistically significant difference was observed between the two groups in immediate restoration outcomes (P>0.05). At 6 months post-restoration, the experimental group demonstrated superior restoration efficacy and white aesthetic outcomes compared to the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion For repairing small anterior tooth defects, everStick resin laminate veneer is superior to partial porcelain laminate veneer in terms of repair effect and aesthetic effect.
