Objective To explore the difference in clinical efficacy between orbicularis oculi myectomy and modified orbicularis oculi myorrhaphy in the treatment of senile lower eyelid entropion complicated with eyelid laxity Methods A total of 86 patients with senile lower eyelid entropion complicated with eyelid laxity admitted to a hospital from March 2021 to August 2024 were selected and divided into an observation group and a control group according to the random number table method, with 43 cases in each group The observation group was treated with modified orbicularis oculi myorrhaphy, while the control group was treated with traditional orbicularis oculi myectomy The surgical efficacy, improvement of ocular function and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups Results The observation group was superior to the control group in the improvement of all indicators, with more significant relief of postoperative ocular discomfort symptoms, better surgical incision healing quality and higher patient satisfaction (P<0.05) Conclusion Modified orbicularis oculi myorrhaphy has better clinical efficacy in the treatment of senile lower eyelid entropion complicated with eyelid laxity It can significantly improve ocular function, enhance patient satisfaction, and has a lower incidence of complications and higher safety Keywords Orbicularis Oculi Myectomy; Modified Orbicularis Oculi Myorrhaphy; Senile Lower Eyelid Entropion; Eyelid Laxity; Therapeutic Efficacy
