Abstract:Objective: To study the application effect of porcelain-fused-to-metal veneers in oral aesthetic restoration. Methods: Fifty patients who underwent oral cosmetic restoration treatment in our department from March 2023 to June 2024 were selected and divided into the study group (25 cases) and the control group (25 cases) using the random number table method. The study group received porcelain-fused-to-metal veneer restoration, while the control group received resin veneer restoration. The aesthetic effect of the restorations (OES score), the restoration effect after 1 year, and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results: The facial and intraoral OES scores of the study group after restoration were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05); after 1 year of restoration, the effective rates of color naturalness, marginal staining, and marginal fit in the study group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05); the incidence of complications in the study group (4.00%) was lower than that in the control group (28.00%) (P<0.05). Conclusion: For patients undergoing oral aesthetic restoration, using porcelain-fused-to-metal veneer restoration can achieve better restoration effects, with good aesthetics, durability, and low complication rates. It is recognized and favored by patients and has high application value.
