Abstract:Objective To analyze the therapeutic effects and prognostic impact of oral implant restorations versus conventional restorations on patients with dental defects through a retrospective study. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the medical records of 40 patients with dental defects from January 2023 to December 2025. Among them, 20 patients who underwent conventional restorations from January 2023 to June 2024 served as the control group, while 20 patients who received oral implant restorations from July 2024 to December 2025 formed the observation group. The oral function, gingival index, levels of gingival crevicular fluid factors, and oral health status were compared between the two groups. Results The observation group showed superior outcomes compared to the control group, with P < 0.05. Conclusion Oral implant restoration can significantly improve patients" oral function, gingival index, gingival crevicular fluid factor levels, and oral health status, making it worthy of promotion and application.
