Abstract:Objective: To analyze the clinical efficacy, safety of fixed orthodontic technology on adult maxillary impacted anterior teeth and its impact on the occlusal function and aesthetic appearance of patients. Methods: A total of 100 adult patients with impacted maxillary anterior teeth who visited the Department of Stomatology of our hospital from January 2021 to December 2023 were selected and treated with fixed orthodontic technology. They were divided into the high group (n=32), the middle group (n=45), and the low group (n=23) according to the position of the impacted teeth and their eruption potential. After treatment, a 12-month follow-up is required. The clinical treatment success rate, treatment duration, occlusal function indicators, aesthetic satisfaction scores and periodontal health indicators of each group are compared. Result: After treatment, all the above indicators in the observation group were superior to those in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The application of fixed orthodontic technology in the treatment of adult maxillary impacted anterior teeth has definite clinical effects, which can restore the normal arrangement, occlusal function and aesthetic appearance of the teeth. Among them, the treatment effect of median impacted teeth is the best, while the treatment of high impacted teeth is more difficult and personalized treatment plans need to be formulated according to the actual situation.
