Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of cosmetic suturing method on incision healing in patients undergoing open reduction and internal ffxation for clavicular fracture. Methods A total of 100 patients who underwent open reduction and internal ffxation for clavicular fracture in Chaling County Hospital of TCM from January 2023 to May 2025 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into the control group and the study group by the random number table method, with 50 patients in each group. The control group was given conventional surgical suturing, and the study group was given cosmetic suturing. The scar severity, incision healing effect, complication rate and cosmetic satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The VSS score of the study group after treatment was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). The incision healing effect of the study group was better than that of the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the study group was 2.00%, which was lower than 16.00% in the control group (P<0.05). The cosmetic satisfaction of the study group was 98.00%, which was higher than 72.00% in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion In the open reduction and internal ffxation for clavicular fracture, the application of cosmetic suturing method can effectively promote incision healing, improve the quality of scar recovery, and help to reduce the risk of incision-related complications, thereby improving patients' cosmetic satisfaction with postoperative appearance.
