Abstract:Objective To explore the aesthetic effect of subbrow incision upper eyelid ptosis correction combined with double eyelid plasty. Methods A total of 136 patients with upper eyelid ptosis who received treatment at Zhuhai Yayuan Demei Medical Beauty Clinic Co., Ltd. from January 2023 to May 2024 were selected, and they were divided into the control group and the observation group according to different surgical methods, with 68 patients in each group. The control group was treated with simple double eyelid incision upper eyelid ptosis correction, and the observation group was treated with subbrow incision upper eyelid ptosis correction combined with double eyelid plasty. The operation related indicators, eyelid morphological indicators, clinical efficacy, aesthetic effect and complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results The operation time of the observation group was longer than that of the control group, the intraoperative blood loss was less than that of the control group, and the postoperative recovery time was shorter than that of the control group (P <0.05). The palpebral fissure height and the distance from the brow peak to the midline of the pupil in the observation group at 6 months after operation were better than those of the control group (P <0.05). The total effective rate of the observation group (100.00%) was higher than that of the control group (89.71%) (P <0.05). The subjective satisfaction score of patients and the objective aesthetic score of doctors in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group (4.41%) was lower than that in the control group (13.24%) (P <0.05). Conclusion Although the operation time of subbrow incision upper eyelid ptosis correction combined with double eyelid plasty is slightly longer, it is superior to the simple double eyelid incision in terms of morphological improvement, curative effect, aesthetic effect and safety, and is worthy of clinical application.
