Abstract:Objective: To explore the therapeutic effect and mechanism of using mucopolysaccharide polysulfate cream to assist intense pulsed light scheme in the treatment of patients with facial telangiectasia. Methods: Patients with facial telangiectasia, totaling 80 and admitted to Jurong People"s Hospital from October 2024 to September 2025, were randomly assigned to two groups via a random number table. Each group, the reference and the study group, consisted of 40 patients. The reference group implemented intense pulsed light therapy, and the research group implemented mucopolysaccharide polysulfate cream to assist intense pulsed light treatment. Compare the clinical efficacy, the improvement of telangiectasia [doctor"s overall evaluation method (PGA)] and the incidence of adverse reactions. Results: The study group demonstrated greater clinical effectiveness compared to the reference group, with a notable distinction (P<0.05).The research group achieved a higher PGA score compared to the reference group, demonstrating a notable distinction (P<0.05).Within the study group, the occurrence of adverse reactions was less frequent compared to the control group, though this variance did not achieve statistical significance (P>0.05).Conclusion: Utilizing a combination of mucopolysaccharide polysulfate cream and intense pulsed light therapy for individuals with facial telangiectasia enhances treatment effectiveness and mitigates symptoms. The occurrence rate of negative reactions is minimal, providing a valuable example for study.
