Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of continuous nursing based on iceberg theory on oral health status and nursing satisfaction in patients with dental pulp disease. Methods A total of 100 patients with dental pulp disease admitted to the Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the research subjects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 50 patients in each group. The control group received conventional continuous nursing, and the observation group received continuous nursing based on iceberg theory on the basis of the control group. The oral health status, dental function, psychological status and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results After nursing, the score of oral health status in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P <0.05). After nursing, the masticatory function and occlusal force in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). After nursing, the scores of MDAS and SDS in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). The satisfaction rate in the observation group was 96.00%, which was higher than 82.00% in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Implementing continuous nursing based on iceberg theory for patients with dental pulp disease can promote oral health, improve dental function, relieve the anxiety and depression of patients, and enhance nursing satisfaction.
